Gran Hotel Bali
The Gran Hotel Bali a 4 stars built in 2002 in Benidorm it is very big and large, it is the tallest hotel in Europe and it is the safest in term of safety norms. It is 2 towers the smallest tower has 19 floors and the tallest 44 floors . I was on the smallest tower on the 7th floor and I was happy with that considering the time you have to wait for a lift and how slow they are.
Room
I stayed 3 nights in a single room the room was small but comfortable because I was alone it was enough (room have a safe-deposit box in case you need one ).
I didn’t watch much TV sadly most of the interesting channels are on pay-per-view basis. I was left with the normal Spanish cable channels. There is no Internet access in the room, however, the hotel offer free WIFI access in the lobby.
It was funny because the lobby is huge and those people using the lobby to access Internet from their laptop I had the impression to be in an airport .
In spite of the large numbers of people in the hotel I was surprised by the calm reigning on my floor (7th floor) It was great I like quiet hotel. One day I missed my breakfast and I went to the Mercadona supermarket at front of the hotel to by some pastries.
There are also all sort of restaurants around the hotel and the beach is very close may be 5 – 7 minutes walking distance.
Breakfast
Big hotel ,large restaurant, they didn’t ask what is your room number when you go take your breakfast , there are simple too much people, it will take too much time to check everyone.
They have a nice offer of juices, coffees ,teas , fruits, cold and cooked stuffs (eggs, sausages, breads) but little pastries , I love pastries.
Facilities
They have so many things in that hotel in fact if you take a week holiday or more in that hotel, you will have a chance to use their facilities to the fullest that include : hair salon, fitness center, swimming pools for children, swimming pools for adults, jacuzzi , solarium, game rooms ( slot machines, pool tables, table football, arcade game), they are also several bars and restaurants.
People
Mostly International from all around Western and Eastern Europe. You never know in which language to say ‘hi’ when you are in the lift with many people.
Staffs was OK but not extraordinary.
Price is also OK I recommend this hotel for family travel and for seniors. Even if you are on a wheelchair the hotel was designed with that in mind so you will not be at lost, I saw people on wheelchair there.
