Here are two lame pictures I took from the America Cup harbor, I love harbor but I didnt like this one much, there are way to many restricted areas, I wanted to take a picture of a boat that look like a pirate boat, but they didn’t allow me to be close enough to take a picture and I don’t have a 10X zoom on my camera.
I quite enjoy the buildings in Valencia, I’m currently in Barcelona and most people prefer Barcelona in term of style, however, I dont follow accepted convention so I prefer Valencia style, Barcelona style remind me too much of my hometown (Brussels)…. I place I don’t like much :D:X I took some pictures of cool buildings (Edificios) in Valencia.
During years I heard about that America Cup coming in Valencia, at some point I wanted to see it be a part of it, I thought I would miss it, but finally the America Cup started the day of my arrival in Valencia, I just finished a visit of the port, it isnt very interesting , after you pass a security check point, you can access a very limited numbers of areas, the interesting things either you need a pass or be member teams or something.
I did a brief visit of the area I failed to take interesting pictures, I was too far from the action and I didnt want to pay to be on of those boats where you can see a little bit more.
The event is sponsored by Louis Vuitton , it seems to be all about money, I didnt want to spend anything to visit an unmpressive that is like any other port.
Disappointing to say the least, I still manage to have a great day….

It is difficult to write about a city I visited too many times, I have been to Valencia each year since 2003, actually I might move to this city in a couple of months, I had a lazy day, I didnt visit anything , I went to the park did some reading and writing then I went eating with a friends ( a long long meal) ….

Do you like your travel long or short , I personally prefer them to be short, to me short is less than 15 days beyond that I consider it a long travel to me the main difference between long and short travel is the intensity.
I like one week trip with everyday busy doing stuffs and visiting places, I noticed that on a two week trip, I will have many slow days with little to do, those days are nice, they allow the body to rest, however, I don’t want my body to rest.
Longer than two weeks isn’t really good for me unless it is in Spain but usually if I go more than two weeks at a places, I start to work again, I m so used to work.
They are folks they call themselves travellers and they are the people that travel more than 3 months in a row, they call the people that travel less than 3 months ‘tourists’, so I m a tourist based on that standard;) (more…)
