Caceres
I went to Caceres in Extremadura to visit a friend, I haven’t been in Caceres since summer 2005, it was nice to go back there in February the temperature is better I meant when I went there the first time it was a suffocating 43 degree Celsius , now, I got a decent 17 degree C. I did a visit in the Ciudad Monumental , where I saw for the first una tuna ( some guys in fancy clothes singing folklore songs), I also went to a museum in the Ciudad Monumental there they had a very nice sword extremely well crafted , medieval Chinese design , I wondered why and how , it ended up there since a few years I make a collection of knives , daggers and swords, I have some interesting one that I came back from Tbilisi.
You can visit the Ciudad Monumental in just one day beyond that there isn’t much to see in Caceres, there is an interesting theatre, where you can see ballets and theatre plays. I didn’t buy a ticket for the ballet soon enough so it will be for the next time since I saw a ballet in Tbilisi , I’m transformed into a ballet enthusiast. At night there is a few streets where there are a lot of nightlife in bars, many people go out at night even kids with their parents , they go to bars, it was nice , I don’t see that in Belgium never.
In Caceres I had to buy a train ticket for Madrid more than 3 hours of train to go there, however, it was ok, they showed a decent flick in the train called ‘The Sentinel’ starring Michael Douglas.
