Hotel Sevilla Suites review
I stayed at the Sevilla EuroSuites a 4 stars hotel located a little bit away from the center of Sevilla in Mairena del Aljarafe. My suite was big with a dining space, living and kitchen spaces, it was a suite with 3 beds.
The kitchen space doesn’t have any cooking ware I guess I have to ask that to the concierge, the TV set had 18 channels, 4 of them are non-spanish , TV5 Monde (French) , Sky News (British) Rai-Uno (Italy), ARD (German), it was a rather small TV set with ok image quality, I hoped at least a flat screen and some kind of closed circuit to watch some cool movies at night but there was nothing of that sort. There was a built-in radio above the beds. A door open to a terrace which give access to the hotel pool.
The room for the breakfast was all white it reminded me of some hospital restaurant. If you are on a diet that hall has a diet corner with fibre cereal, soja milk and other products like this. I tested the room service and played it safe ordered a spaghetti Carbonara Tellerines with a beer (€ 14,98)., the dish was decent I ate well and no need for more eating. I worried that they gave a dish so small that it wouldn’t be enough as it is sometime the case in hotels.
WIFI is available in all rooms however you do have to pay something, when you connect you are redirected to some ISP page where you can buy connection time, however, it was so slow to load the pages that I gave up. There is also the possibility to connect on the Internet from a computer in the reception hall.
It is one of those computer where you put a one Euro coin for 30 minutes and 2 euro for one hour, I tried it but that computer was in poor shape, it crashed every 5 minutes, you cant reboot it yourself as the PC tower is hidden in another room so each time it crash you have to ask the concierge to restart the computer for you pretty annoying, it was annoying for me and it was annoying for him. I gave up on that one too.
There is no internet café around the hotel it is located in Simon Verde Urbanicacion (Mairena del Aljarafe) which is populated with big villas and a few shops a pretty quiet place.
The hotels staffs I dealt with were young and pretty much stressed out however they were professional and nice which was the most important for me.
If you don’t have a car or if you don’t want to pay 20 euro a taxi ride to the center of Sevilla, there is a bus stop at front of the hotel (25 minutes to go to Sevilla – Plaza de Arma), the only negative point is that the last bus to go back to Simon Verde is at 19:57.
In conclusion this is an OK hotel , if want to rest and don’t need Internet.
