Can I be hypnotized?

Most people can go into a hypnotic trance. The only types of people that cannot be hypnotised are …

1. Those suffering from psychosis or a thought disorder

2. A person with a low IQ

3. A person does not want to be hypnotised. It is very easy to resist hypnosis if you want to.

What is a hypnotic trance?

It is a normal and natural state that most of us experience several times a day. It commonly happens when people are driving. Have you ever driven somewhere and not really remembered the journey? It also often occurs when reading a book or watching TV. Sometimes you can be so absorbed in the book or TV programme that you are not consciously aware that someone is talking to you. Hypnosis is the focussing of the conscious attention in such a narrow corridor of influence. The conscious mind is so intensely focussed that other influences are not being critically analysed by the conscious mind. We still hear them, although we are not always aware. A good example of this is when you are in a place where there are several conversations going on at once. They may all sound like a mass of background noise. However if someone in one of those conversations mentions your name, you then consciously focus on that conversation. How did you know someone said your name? Your subconscious mind (which is far more powerful than your conscious mind) was listening to EVERY conversation AT THE SAME TIME! That is perhaps a reason why you can sometimes “just know” something. Your subconscious mind has absorbed it without you consciously being aware.

What does hypnosis feel like?

When in a trance you feel more mentally and physically relaxed. It is a very pleasant experience, and you can tell that you are still in control. You can still hear exactly what is going on around you, unless you choose to drift your attention away. You become aware that you can easily stand up, talk, or move whenever you want. A lot of people (me included) when they first experience a hypnotic trance move their fingers or hands in order to test whether they can move at will. Sometimes a patient can be a little difficult to wake up. This is not a sinister thing as it has been portrayed. No one has ever been stuck in trance. It is more a case that a patient just “can´t be bothered” to wake up as it feels so pleasant. However they soon become bored and will wake up pretty soon. One trick the old hypnosis pro´s use is to tell the patient that they are charging for the time. It´s amazing how quickly they then wake up!

Qigong Meditation for Telekinesis of Chi Shape Shifting

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Over the years, I have become quite efficient with my energy work (tai-chi), 7 years of constant practice are finally paying off.
The energy I store and work with is used during my kundalini View definition in a new window and love meditation other than that, I have little use for that Chi.
I’m not playing with OOBE or Lucid dreaming techniques at this time.
A couple of years ago, I came across a self-hypnosis tape (Mind & Body Mastery) that allow to change the body as you wish, I mean
I used the tape to grow muscles and it worked , self-hypnosis work well to grow muscular masses. Other people used the tape for breast enlargement, acne reduction, I also heard about growing taller of a few centimeters (inches).

Now, I came across a video to play with this, in fact, it makes sense to me, Chi can only help to tailor the body and heal it. This is may be one of the reason I was able to get rid of my lung infection symptoms so easily. In fact, a killer combo to change the body will be self-hypnosis and energy work (tai chi).

How to be lucky (Luck is Love)

Lucky womanBy Laura De Giorgio

Luck is a state of mind. People who are lucky, people who think of themselves as lucky tend to think and behave in different ways than those who think of themselves as unlucky.

Our thinking and acting may cause us to experience serendipitous events in some areas of our lives and to experience seeming obstacles in other areas. Changing the way we think may change our experience instantly.

For example, many years ago, a friend used to take me to play Bingo. During the first two years I played I won absolutely nothing. I believed that it was not part of my destiny to win anything playing games of chance. I didn’t expect to win anything and I didn’t win anything.

Then one day, the Law of gratitude crossed my mind, and just for the sake of experiment I began expressing gratitude - in advance - for winning a specific game at Bingo that evening. For about an hour that afternoon I kept on subjectively experiencing myself winning a specific game on a green card at Bingo and feeling gratitude for the winnings. I went to Bingo that evening, and I won exactly the game for which I was expressing gratitude. From that day onward I kept on winning consistently. (more…)

Quit Smoking with Hypnosis or EFT

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

Hospitalized patients who smoke may be more likely to quit smoking through the use of hypnotherapy than patients using other smoking cessation methods. A new study* shows that smoking patients who participated in one hypnotherapy session were more likely to be nonsmokers at 6 months compared with patients using nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) alone or patients who quit “cold turkey”. The study also shows that patients admitted to the hospital with a cardiac diagnosis are three times more likely to quit smoking at 6 months than patients admitted with a pulmonary diagnosis.

“Our results showed that hypnotherapy resulted in higher quit rates compared with NRT alone,” said Faysal Hasan, MD, FCCP, North Shore Medical Center, Salem, MA. “Hypnotherapy appears to be quite effective and a good modality to incorporate into a smoking cessation program after hospital discharge.”
