A day with Robert Monroe : one of the father of modern consciousness research
Posted by: | CommentsThe Monroe Institute is lately doing good effort to keep the legacy of Robert Monroe alive. There was this book published in 2007 “The Journey of Robert Monroe: From Out-of-Body Explorer to Consciousness Pioneer“, about his life and his work on consciousness.
Last summer the Monroe Institute put online a series of video of Robert Monroe dating back the early 90’s.
About the videos: If you attended the Gateway Voyage residential program at The Monroe Institute in the last 10 to 15 years, you missed the evening talks with Bob Monroe. Prior to his death in 1995, Bob talked with Gateway Voyage participants on Saturday evenings, their first night at the Institute, and on Wednesday evenings after they had experienced the exploration of Focus 21, a bridge to other realities. Wednesdays talks were particularly precious to participants as they had experienced for themselves by that time the very realms Bob spoke of during those Wednesday evening discussions.
Here is a collection of nine clips that together constitute one of Bob Monroe’s Wednesday night talks in 1990. Bob didn’t like to be filmed, so we are fortunate to still have this classic footage.

My first Robert Monroe-style OOBE
Early this morning, I had a Robert Monroe-style out of body experience, it was long and memorable just like in the Robert Monroe two last books. Many people take up course in remote viewing or OOBE like the Bulhman course or the Monroe OOBE course to prove to themselves that they are more than their physical body.
An out of body experience is definitely the way to go especially if you manage to have a long one like the one I had this morning. It will remove all doubts you might have, genuine OOBE doesn’t feel like lucid dream , it is different. Let me tell you my story.
This morning, I woke up to find out that I was partially out of body, some part of my subtle body was still attached to my physical body, I tried hard to detach and go completely out of body, but it didn’t work, I finally gave up and fell back asleep.
A few minutes later, I woke up again but this time I was completely out of body, I didn’t know it, I saw no difference my room was just my room. It took me awhile to realise that I was out of body, I didn’t know how it came about. I decided to left my home and explore my surrounding.
Here I don’t remember how I did it, but I appeared in the stair of a high rise building, I saw a crowd of people trying to enter the elevator.
I decided to not go with them but to continue walking down the stair. It occurred to me that I could just go through walls. I tried but it didn’t work, I could only go a few centimeters into the wall no more than that. I assume here I have a limiting belief, I continued walking down the stair until I reached the underground level, I was surprised I saw no door, I turned my head around to look for a door, then a door was there, but strangely I thought that door wasn’t there a few seconds before, I walked in the grand underground parking of that building I could see a shining light from the sun coming from the entrance of the parking.

Hemi-Sync and Remote Viewing

When you hear these through stereo headphones or speakers, your brain responds by producing a third sound (called a binaural beat) that encourages the desired brainwave activity.
What is remote viewing ? Remote viewing is a mental faculty that allows a perceiver (a “viewer”) to describe or give details about a target that is inaccessible to normal senses due to distance, time, or shielding. For example, a viewer might be asked to describe a location on the other side of the world, which he or she has never visited; or a viewer might describe an event that happened long ago; or describe an object sealed in a container or locked in a room; or perhaps even describe a person or an activity; all without being told anything about the target — not even its name or designation.

Where do I go after I die ?
Posted by: | Comments“Where do I go after I die ?” is a question Bruce Moen author of the explorirng the Afterlife book series. Bruce Moen was an engineer who asked himself “Who I’m, where do I come from, why am I here” type of questions.. his quest for knowledge leads him to learn lucid dream and out of body travel as way to find answers to his questions.
In the early 90s, Bruce Moen attended a 6 days Gateway Voyage program at the Monroe Institute.
According to The Monroe Institute (TMI) website the organisation is devoted to the premise that focused consciousness contains definitive solutions to the major issues of human experience. Greater understanding of such consciousness can be achieved through coordinated research efforts using an interdisciplinary approach.
The results of such research efforts are meaningful only if there are practical applications—something of value for our contemporary culture. The Monroe Institute proposes to introduce, at all levels of human endeavor, abilities that will constructively change humankind’s direction and destiny.
During his Gateway Voyage program he had the opportunity to listen to the Patrick Tape recorded in the late 70s by Robert Monroe and Rosalind McKnight. The “Patrick Tape,” the account involves retrieving the male victim of a mishap at sea who did not realize that he was already dead.
At that time in the 70s, Robert Monroe was experimenting with the Hemi-sync system and Rosalind McKnight was explorer , she was in an isolation booth where she could communicate with Monroe via microphone. The experiments involved exploring beyond the physical consciousness during one the session that took Monroe by surprise they entered in contact with a guy who died more than 100 years ago. The “retrieving” of that man called Patrick did a lot to help Bob Monroe to understand the possibility of a life after the physical one end. Read More→
