UK police to use hypnosis techniques
ByThis news remind of a scene from the movie THX 1138 where they have a sort of mind-police. It seems that the police in UK is interested to use hypnosis techniques. The idea according to them is to “Putting people in a receptive brainwave state makes it likelier that the truth will come out.”
Officers will have to pay by themselves if they want to enroll in a hypnosis class, the six-day course costs £1,370. According to a story from the Telegraph :
The course will teach students ‘cutting edge techniques’, including an introduction into Electroencephalography (EEG) and will be paid for out of police coffers, according to respected industry magazine Police Review.
EEG is the recording of electrical activity in the brain gathered by placing sensors on the scalp which monitor ‘neuron activity’ – which cops believe can help ‘encourage’ suspects and witnesses to tell the truth.
Apparently, the information gathered by this mean will be used in court of laws. Let see how they do with this.
