The minute you name something, you set up fear

By Louis Yagera

The topic of living without fear has always been a fascinating one, since most people are plagued by one or more fear. I bought a lecture recording from Ramtha about this topic, his lecture was extremely disappointing to me offering no practical advices. Ramtha basically said that we cannot be truly happy if we have fear, it was filled with some of his stories. In fact, that recording was so disappointing that I decided to stop to listen to Ramtha for good.

Back to square one, fear seems to be born out of ignorance, usually, disastrous conditions are projected upon a place, an event , a person or a group. Europeans are scared of foreigners because they know nothing about them. It is like when one of my Spanish friend went on holiday in Senegal before she left some guy told her that she could get raped over there. However, as far as rape statistic are concerned Spain has the 14th place worldwide per capita , it makes Spain the second European country with the highest rape rate just behind UK. Now, the popular opinion in these two countries is that if their girls go to place like Senegal they will get raped. They are projecting their own demons upon a group of people.
Usually, if you fear something outside of yourself this thing is a symbol representing your own inner conflict. Therefore, the source for a fear is to be found inside. If you fear homosexuality because it is strange, you certainly have issue with aspect of yourself that you find strange.
I believe that in practical terms to live without fear an individual has to have a close look at his beliefs and precisely those causing fear. You might have GRAND time by writing a large list of all your fears and going through a release process for them such as EFT View definition in a new window or other.

“You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.” O Brien (1984, George Orwell)

In the book 1984 written by George Orwell there is a torture chamber called room 101 where prisoners meet their worst fear, their worst nightmare. People talk about doing extraordinary things like teleportation, shape-shifting and more. If we want to do something extraordinary our room 101 must be empty, people talk about contacting their higher self or having out of body experience yet, if they fail it is because of fear.

I think that having a deep understanding on our beliefs can help us to transcend some of the most limiting ones. I like what Datre says about fear in transcript:

The minute you name something, you set up fear. And setting up fear aggravates whatever you found out that you’ve got. I’m not trying to be hard on you, but I’m trying to show you how differently you can look at things. Your belief system is stronger than you have any idea. If you believe, that everything is going to be okay, and you really truly believe that, it will be. And everything you filter through your belief system will be okay – you’ve set it up that way. You believe it, and believing it, it is so. So that is why we say, be an OBSERVER, because you also have to observe ‘your’ actions and reactions. Otherwise, how are you going to find your present ‘belief’ system and make changes? (session 148)
