Better than never, scientists finally find out that sleep can be used to solve problems. According to a story on BBCNews. Scientists tested whether “incubating” a problem allowed a flash of insight, and found it did, especially when people entered a phase of sleep known as REM.

Volunteers who had entered REM or rapid eye movement sleep – when most dreams occur – were then better able to solve a new problem with lateral thinking.

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has published the US work. In the morning of the test day, 77 volunteers were given a series of creative problems to solve and were told to mull over the problem until the afternoon either by resting but staying awake or by taking a nap monitored by the scientists. Compared with quiet rest and non-REM sleep, REM sleep increased the chances of success on the problem-solving task.

The study at the University of California San Diego showed that the volunteers who entered REM during sleep improved their creative problem solving ability by almost 40%. Read More→

I like Alex Jones I think his movies are very informative, I highly recommend anyone to watch Endgame, The Obama Deception and Terrorstorm, if this is an interest to you.

Among all the folks doing Hemi-sync Metamusic , J.S Epperson is my favorite composer. In early January, I bought a bunch of Metamusic CDs, the ones by Epperson quickly grew as my favorites especially the albums Higher, Ascension and Remembrance.
For the small story Epperson sent me a Myspace friend request two weeks after I got his CDs. So do not tell me people aren’t connected with each other, my experience of reality doesn’t support this. ;)

Now, Epperson has a new CD out and it is called Deltadream , the page on his website says:

DELTADREAM is based on the ancient solfeggio frequency Ut (396 Hz), a tone used in chants that church authorities say was lost centuries ago. Ut is associated with releasing emotional patterns; liberating guilt and fear. Woven with complex binaural beat patterns that are modulating various delta brainwaves, DELTADREAM is known to trigger intense dreams. The drifting drones and resonances lull you to restful sleep, while the magickal music quietly leads you to the hidden realms of your subconscious.

I listened to the free track called Benediction available at Higher-music. I really liked it, it has some kind of gregorian chant in the background and the music is a bit reminiscent of Higher another CD by Epperson. It is the stuff you can use for deep meditation or deep Chi breathing. Actually, I highly recommend to listen to this during a session of Chi breathing if this is part of your routine.

Thumb up for this new music!

Budokon (my first home session)

Posted by: | Comments (0)

budokonWhen I usually suggest to my overstressed Barcelona lady friends to go to a yoga class to relieve their stress, they answer me by saying that yoga isn’t going to help.
They also say that they will probably prefer a kickboxing class.
They should really have a look at Budokon, this is what I will suggest to them the next time we meet. Budokon founded by Cameron Shayne integrates yoga, martial arts and Zen meditation.
I picked up the DVD – Budokon for beginners and I did the short workout (27 minutes), I’m glad I did this at night, here in Spain at this time of the year it is very hot, and the work out started with a series of yoga postures that build rapidly heat in the system .
I’m very familiar with the yoga postures used in the session (mountain pose, dog, warrior 1 & 2, cobra, etc….) I could to them by just listening without being distracted by watching a screen, supporting your own weight seemed to be the emphasis of this yoga session as well as building heat.
Right after the yoga part is the martial arts, the techniques are supposed to be drawn from Okinawan Karate-Do, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do says the official Budokon website.
This part was vigourous and a lot of fun! after the martial arts work out there is a short traditional chi kung meditation to end the session.

I liked my first session of Budokon! Large-city people suffering from stress should have a look at it.

Taking Action

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Often someone will say something like this “Well, I listened to the tape for three months and nothing happened”
Words were present.
Thoughts were present.
But action was not.
Meditating with a tape on what you want is OK, but, very often people stay focused on the lack on what they do not have. Focus on what you do not have is going to attract more of that.
It is like the people who try to lose weight or create a relationship.
“I want to lose weight”
“I want a boyfriend ”
The people who get thin don’t say, I want to lose weight.
The people who create relationship, don’t say, I want a lover.

If you want something, you have to have the feeling for it. Saying “I want” and having the corresponding feeling keep your attractor field in the lack, but, if you feel that you have then you can create a compatible attractor field with the object of your desire. Read More→
