NLP – Model Of Clarity
ByI repeat just like what I wrote in the previous post “You can’t wish or hope to be successful. You need to have a structured approach to create the life that you want !”
In practical terms you must know with great precision what do you really want, you must have a well formed outcome. In NLP they have something called the model of clarity, it helps individuals to design a well formed outcome. You probably have read many times that writing down your goals give more chance for them to happen because now your brain, your mind has a point of focus to move to. But how many people do write what they want ? and how many write goals in a well formed manner ?
” I want to be millionaire so I do not have to work and I can travel and meet a lot of interesting people ”
The above is a very poorly formed outcome.
1 – It actually includes three projects, having million dollars, travel and meeting people. It is not beneficial to link projects together for instance, it is possible to travel without being a millionaires, it is also possible to meet interesting people without travel and million dollars.
2 – ” do not have to work” …It is a move away from. A well formed outcome needs be written in positive terms.
PEAS Model will allow you to craft a well formed outcome , when you have a well formed it is easy to move forward to the realization of your goal.
PEAS (Positive terms, Evidence, Appropriate, Self-maintained)
Positive – Define what you really do want in positive terms and sensory details.
Evidence – Define how you will know that you have got it ? It must be observable by outside party as well.
Appropriate – Does it fit your values and criterias ? Is there something to lose by getting your outcome ?
Self Maintained – Do you have a plan ? Can you start it and maintain it ? Do you need people, knowledge, new beliefs , skills ?
If your outcome depends on someone else it is probably a poorly formed outcome. NLP trainer Jules Collingwood wrote a very detailed article to help to write a well formed outcome. In his article he has a series of questions.
1 – What do I want ?
2 – Is it achievelable ?
3 – What will accept as evidence that I achieved my outcome ?
4 – Is achieving my outcome within my control ?
5 – Are the costs and consequences of obtaining this outcome acceptable?
6 – Do I have all the resources I need to achieve my outcome?
There is a lot more info in the article of Collingwoood, I highly recommend that you read it and go through the process. Once you have a well formed outcome you can list all the beliefs objections you have about that outcome and do EFT
on them.
