What you contemplate, you become
ByYou are alone and you are fighting “I’m alone”. May be, you try to energize the belief “I have a loving relationship”, but , why you are doing it, because, you are alone , it is at front of you. Chance is that it will not work because:
I have a loving relationship because I’m alone is reinforcing in a subtle way the “I’m alone” belief. Have you seen the movie “The time travel machine” with Guy Pearce, this is the theme of the movie, a scientist had his fiancé murdered so he built a time travel machine to save her, when it goes back in time, he found himself unable to save his fiancé. Later in the movie he understand that he cannot save her, because, the time machine he built to saver her from death cannot exist with her being alive !
Imagine that you are “fighting” cancer, do you realize that in order to “fight” cancer you have to observe it , you have to create it. If you stop observing then it stops to exist. That the way, Norman Cousins healed, he removed completely his focused attention from his dis-ease (Ankylosing Spondylitis). He did it with laughter.
“I made the joyous discovery that ten minutes of genuine belly laughter had an anesthetic effect and would give me at least two hours of pain-free sleep,”( Marx Brothers films)
From my understanding if you try to get rid of something you have to understand why you created the condition in first place. When you understand why you are ill, why you are alone then that comprehension will free you at that point you can decide to continue feeding the condition or completely remove your attention from it and move unto something else.
