How to use the Law of Attraction to have success in the university and school
ByLouis asked me to share some of my experiences with the Law of attraction (LoA) when it comes to learning and passing tests in university.
I used law of attraction very successfully in university, even in subjects that I had problems with.
My absolute peak was earlier this year, when I had my oral exams at university and really wanted to perform outstandingly well in all subjects.
I was able to do exactly that, and I’ll explain some of the mindsets and techniques I used to make this happen.
The absolute KEY to progress in learning anything is passion for the subject. So it’s important to release any negative beliefs and emotions about a certain (school-) subject and to really find out what fascinates you about it and in which ways it could be useful for your life.
If the stuff you have to learn is boring for you, just remind yourself that this work is a stepping stone for your future and a good way to improve your skills, be it in language, math, history or anything else.
Louis wrote quite a bit about living your dream and discovering your purpose in life. It is absolutely crucial to know why you’re doing what you do. For me, going to school and attending university was in perfect alignment with what I wanted to create in my life, so I always felt passionate about giving my best.
I’m sure with some inner work (Discovering your beliefs) you’ll find out in which ways your school works helps you later in life.
Passion makes studying almost effortless, plus it has numerous other advantages. One of those is that you’ll attract more opportunities in your life, because people will be drawn to optimistic persons like you. It will also catch the attention of teachers and professors, who will gladly support you, because most of them are fed up with unmotivated students who just learn barely enough to pass the test
Passion also arises when you see the subject as a challenge, and not so much as a problem. Any challenge gives you the opportunity to grow intellectually and personally. Conquering a challenge is very satisfying, so always keep this in mind when you’re working on your homework.
It’s also a must to accept the belief that it is possible for you to actually improve in this area.
Many people I know hate math and constantly tell themselves how much they hate it, and that they’re simply not the type of person who’s good in math. It’s obvious that this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, isn’t it?
So drop any kind of complaining concerning your “problem”. Remember the most basic principle in LoA: “What you resist persists”. ![]()
Besides passion and positive beliefs it’s obviously important to visualize yourself completing the task very successfully.
Good mental training means using all your senses. Visualize how you go to your exam, how you feel relaxed and concentrated. Also visualize the sense of ease that you have when you easily solve the tasks.
If you’re preparing for an oral exam, visualize the professor liking you and being impressed by your knowledge.
It’s also cool to visualize that your teacher is very pleased with your results, because as you all know, it’s easier to manifest something when all parties who are involved profit from your wish. -> win-win situation.
You can make your visualization more realistic when you actually visit the place where you will be tested, and learn to bring up the feeling and the concentration right there.
The following step is very important. It’s the step that most people screw up. Usually visualizing comes easy, it’s the allowing that most people have problems with.
Allowing simply means to rest in the good feeling of accomplishment and positive expectancy. Allowing also means to let go of you need and anxiety about the exam. View the exam as an interesting opportunity to test your new knowledge, nothing more and nothing less.
Allowing and intuition are closely related. You’ll begin to have certain urges to research some topics more in depth than others…Or maybe you’ll get a certain motivation to read some topics more closely than others…
I’ll add an example from my university experience:
This happened to me on numerous occasions, it was really amazing to see. Usually a few days, or even just one night before the exam, questions would pop up in my mind. I’d do a quick google search or look them up in my books to solve the questions. Those questions were actually the questions that the professors would ask me the next day.
At first I thought it was a fluke, but the same thing happened over and over again, in all my 7 exams. Coincidence or synchronicity? You decide
Next thing are some basic tips like, drinking enough water while learning, working in an environment that makes it easier to focus on the subject, sleeping well and so on.
Don’t disregard the small tricks, they really add up…
Also make sure that you learn with people who are positive about the subject, or at least neutral. If you learn with a bunch of complainers their negativity will just drag you down too.
Next point: Observe how people who are already good at that subject think themselves. That’s called modelling in NLP (neuro linguistic programming).
Learn how to think, how they think. May be, you’re approaching the problem from a very fixed point of view, that might work in the other subjects that you’re good in, but it might block you in this particular subject.
“If you keep doing the same thing you’ll keep getting the same result”.
Get new perspectives be it from classmates, other workbooks, internet forums or from your own imagination. ![]()
Just some tips that came to my mind, I hope they help.
