The first stage of deep relaxation
ByWhat I perceive vary from session to session but its usually patterns of spiralling light sometime colored sometime white. Sometime the patterns are colored and seem like fractals, 2D blackness fade to a blackness with depth appears, it has some velvet quality to it. At this point the body isn’t yet asleep, this comes later, when the body is asleep then these type of perceptions cease.
It is perfect black out, in my experience, sometime my eyes open themselves lightly but I see nothing (I have eyes mask).
It is possible that your experience with deep relaxation will be completely different.
If you have experience like described above don’t panic because many people are afraid when it is happening, there is no reason for fear. It is very special to see clear light when your eyes are closed.
I also have to say that you usually do not achieve deep relaxation overnight it demands some training.
My preferred method is autogenic training, coupled with the counting backward and the aid of binaural beat CD.

I’ve already experienced this kind of state.
Hard to describe, but its like standing in some kind of 3D virtual reality game with your head being the geographic center of this virtual world.
I also had the feeling of standing in the middle of a sphere and to have 360° vision.
My visions were very colorful spreaded, with patterns like aztec(?) glyphs changing of shape with my breath.
I have now this kind of experience, with lightweight feeling, but no colourful patterns anymore. Just some shiny, fuzzy light coming around there and here, then disapearing.
Best to achieve this state (for me) is to do it a wake up time, in your bed standing still and relaxed, listening to Immrama insight.

I looked at some aztec glyphs this is interesting, I have to say ,in my case all these patterns do not stay fix, they move in slow motion.
I have never been in that state during the morning when I wake up, I tend to OOB during the morning
