My most successful method of controlling mind chatter is Eckhart Tolle's mouse hole technique. I've also heard Barry Long mention it from his recording "How to Stop Thinking". They suggest focusing on feeling the life force in your body, then watching the mouse hole for the next thought to emerge. Funny when you are "Watching" nothing actually appears...or almost nothing. Much more manageable! They also say that the thought is actually part of a "thought - feeling - thought" cycle. If you can "hold it at the feeling", the thought is not produced. Something to experiment with! Best of luck...M
