Interesting blog.

Thought you might enjoy this article written by Robert Monroe (of "Journeys Out of the Body" fame) in the late 1980s called "Are Thoughts Really Things?"

Yes, thoughts can affect the world, and if a person is into the study of quantum physics there are studies that have been shown that this is possible. After Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf course, Hurricane Rita came soon after. When it looked like it was going to hit New Orleans again a number of mind power yahoogroups I belong to decided to use the techniques that they've learned to move the storm away from New Orleans, Lousiana. The result was that the storm made a 90 degree turn away from that area. I myself felt that the focus should have been on the calming of the storm....it didn't affect New Orleans but made a beeline for Texas. With this being the case it also speaks to the idea that you have to be very clear about what you're asking for.

Just in case you're wondering, I think that any prayers for Hurricane Ike did have an effect on the last storm, because the forecast for the weather anticipated the storm to be far worst than it really was.
