Can your thoughts affect the world ?

By Louis Yagera

Wendi Friesen at wendi.com did an interesting experiment on the power of intent. A guided meditation to focus your thoughts on releasing the energy of a hurricane.

Wendi wrote : have been asked if a group hypnosis session can stop a hurricane.
Some people think that our collective thoughts, when a large group of people put their intention together, can affect things like weather or events.

There are experiments to test this theory, and we know that random number generators are affected when a highly emotional event is occuring that affects great numbers of people.
Let’s experiment. The meditation session is Free.

    • Yes, thoughts can affect the world, and if a person is into the study of quantum physics there are studies that have been shown that this is possible. After Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf course, Hurricane Rita came soon after. When it looked like it was going to hit New Orleans again a number of mind power yahoogroups I belong to decided to use the techniques that they've learned to move the storm away from New Orleans, Lousiana. The result was that the storm made a 90 degree turn away from that area. I myself felt that the focus should have been on the calming of the storm....it didn't affect New Orleans but made a beeline for Texas. With this being the case it also speaks to the idea that you have to be very clear about what you're asking for.

Just in case you're wondering, I think that any prayers for Hurricane Ike did have an effect on the last storm, because the forecast for the weather anticipated the storm to be far worst than it really was.
