Being non-judgemental
ByI saw a very interesting movie the other night called Fearless starring Jet Li , the movie teaches about the consequence of being very judgemental without even having the facts and the freedom of being non-judgemental.
The best parts of the movie might not be all the fights, but there is a part where Jet Li discusses with another man, the man asks Jet Li if he can appreciate a good tea. Jet Li replies by saying that all teas are the same. The man says no they are all sorts of different tea then Jet Li replies saying teas are plants in the nature growing with little discernable differences. The person drinking the tea makes the judgement on the tea often that judgement will be tainted by the mood of the person drinking the tea. Jet Li concludes that it is best to stay without judgement so all teas stay the same.
I found this to be true particularly when it comes to people, if I don’t like myself then I will put that in my opinion of people I will tend to think that they don’t like me as well. This is misjudgement, it is best to not judge people at all, so there is no risk to have a ‘negative’ appreciation based on the beliefs system, judgement is the projection of your belief system. Some of you, know that I had a profound dislike of government structures (at the date of today, I no longer care about the government, politic at large and world affairs) but may be some of you think that a government structure is good and may be with your judgement you are able to see the good they do. That will be your perception, your judgement based on your beliefs system. The truth is relative, what is true for you will always be based on your judgements from your beliefs system.
Fearless also teaches obviously about courage , being fearless and many other themes. However, the theme that stood out for me was the stuffs about being non-judgemental.
I highly recommend you to watch that movie:
