If you need concentration
ByThe past two years, I didn’t work hard on concentration, I did work but not to the point of concentration mastery, now, I feel like I can´t go further, if I don’t have a mastery of concentration as you know I play with the Hieu Doan’s Meditation Mastery it demands good level of concentration. I do Kundalini
meditation it also demands strong concentration especially if I want to improve the quality of my experience.
Stillness of the mind is important too, I have to work on that, if you can have your mind still and blank then you offer yourself the opportunity to tremendously improve the way you communicate with other people.
Instead of being trapped in your thoughts and think what to say next and stuffs like this. You will instead allow yourself to BE. BEING is useful because you will understand people from their standpoint, it will be like observing their thoughts, the need they express. BEING is the way effective communication should be from that standpoint you will be able to speak your true because instead of simply reacting to what you hear, you will be able to really go to the point of what is really expressed in the interaction.
The activity you do in your daily life should provide you enough opportunities to develop your concentration just do your stuffs with more conscious. When you are in the public transportation you can practice rhythmic breathing, if you drive your own vehicle, you can learn to observe more consciously what is around you, they are so much you do not notice.
At home, you can try a program such the Master Key (Link to PDF ebook) or anything from Robert Bruce, he has plenty of concentrations exercises in his books.
If you live in a quiet place and have a very quiet life you can experiment with the more ambitious program from Manu Saddhu see the book ‘Concentration’.
I personally play with the Master Key and one exercise from Robert Bruce to blank the mind.

Yes,concentration is very important once you want to use advanced visualization and breathing practices.
I think developing focus and being able to quiet your mind goes somehow hand in hand.
I´m doing concentration on a candle-flame as a way to train my focus, but since I have some Robert Bruce-books, I could also give his exercises a try.
