Contemplation and personal change
ByI was thinking about the experience of Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich.
Hill used a meditation where he imagined a meeting with men he admired such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thomas Paine, Thomas Alva Edison, Charles Robert Darwin, Abraham Lincoln, Luther Burbank, Napoleon Bonaparte, Henry Ford, and Andrew Carnegie. As some point the meeting became very real to his mind these people had behaviors on their own. Hill wrote … “I was astonished by the discovery that these imaginary figures became apparently real….”
It was like a real conversation it even scared Hill and he interrupted the use of this technique. This is a beautiful example of perfect contemplation.
But what is contemplation? According to Master George King it starts first with concentration : The focus on a single objective give great power because all the unfocused energy are now going to be directed in one direction, and once it is done things can move on very quickly. The people good at creating things , you see they are the one very skilled at concentration they don’t waste their energy in distraction. From concentration the mind will be allowed to contemplate this process according to George King, it can give great knowledge about the object of the contemplation-even down to its atomic structure.
There is a lot of focusing in the Hieu Doan’s Meditation Mastery program that I started a few months ago it really help to understand the concept of concentration. I played with contemplation as well , it helped me greatly for 10 to 15 minutes try to identify yourself with a new belief you want to acquire. It will take some times to find the feeling but when you find it you can expanded it and you will be to create the experience into your life.
However, the more you can concentrate the faster you will see result.
No idea on what belief to choose ? try …
I radiate peace and serenity no matter what is going on around me.
