Working with Kundalini Energy
By“It’s about damaging the energetic pathways…Can this kundallini energy raising up the spine be overdone? I remember to have heard some warnings about this, as in not too much energy work as a newbie, but I’m not sure anymore. I just tried the bringing the energy up in the brain thing, and i like it…So i wondered if i should do it for the whole hour of love meditation i do or not?”
So first what is Kundalini
according to Ramtha :
Kundalini energy is the life force of a person that descends from the higher seals to the base of the spine at puberty. It is a large packet of energy reserved for human evolution, commonly pictured as a coiled serpent that sits at the base of the spine. This energy is different from the energy coming out of the first three seals responsible for sexuality, pain and suffering, power and victimization. It is commonly described as the sleeping serpent or the sleeping dragon. The journey of the kundalini energy to the crown of the head is called the journey of enlightenment. This journey takes place when this serpent wakes up and starts to split and dance around the spine, ionizing the spinal fluid and changing its molecular structure. This action causes the opening of the midbrain and the door to the subconscious mind.
According to Dr. George King learning to raise Kundalini energy is the reason we are here on earth. Kundalini can be raised with Kundalini Yoga or intense spiritual practice.
A lot of experienced yogis will tell you not to do any Kundalini work without outside help, however, I know for a fact people who developed Kundalini without outside help Robert Bruce is one of them in his book he recommends to build your energy system for couple of months before working with the chakras. In Robert Bruce book ‘Astral Dynamics’ Kundalini awakening happens not because you make that energy raise in the brain but because the spiritual practice taught by Bruce in his book the practice involves energy work, concentration, relaxation and projection of consciousness.
Mantak Chia also recommends to be good at developing your energy system before you can work with raising energy into your brain, he wrote a book about energy development called ‘Awaken Healing Energy Through Tao’.
In the Ramtha School of Enlightenment , you learn to go in deep trance and from there you raise Kundalini energy to your brain reciting the list (The List is the discipline taught by Ramtha where the student gets to write a list of items they desire to know and experience and then learn to focus on it in an analogical state of consciousness.)
So my conclusion is this get familiar with energy system development from Robert Bruce and Mantak Chia, if you are into Tai-chi chuan then also read and study ‘Opening the energy gates of your body: Gain lifelong vitality’ by Bruce Kumar Frantzis. I had a minor kundalini awakening long before I consciously worked on it so I will assume that spiritual practices are a valid framework to get familiar with Kundalini energy.
I never had bad experience with Kundalini I had my first experience with this energy in 2005 in fact my experiences are good with Kundalini one night I was plagued with pain in my upper back when I raised the kundalini the pain vanished.
Now, keep in my mind that a full kundalini rising can result in a complete paralysis of the body, so it may scare you if you aren’t prepared, in the book Inner Potential there is a safe way to develop Kundalini it is mostly composed of chi breathing and then in the later stage kundalini breathing.
My list of books to prepare for a safe Kundalini practice:
Realise your Inner Potential – Richard Lawrence – The DVD shows you how to make the proper movement during the breathing exercises the book has important theory.
Taoist Secrets of Love – Cultivating Male Sexual Energy by Mantak Chia – Chinese version of the Kundalini great book lot of insight.
Astral Dynamics – Robert Bruce – for the N.E.W energy development system
Opening The Energy Gates Of your body – by B. K. Frantzis great book for those into tai chi chuan. Explains the difference between Tai chi chuan and pranayama. Explain how to start a successful practice.
A Beginner’s Guide to Creating Realityby Ramtha – book has a in-depth description of the Kundalini energy and how it affect the brain. Most of my current practice is based on this book and Astral Dynamics.
Awaken Healing Energy Through Tao by Mantak Chia great helps in depth about the human body energy system.
