Open-Focus Brain
ByI just read a full review of the book at OpEdNews. Open focus is a method to improve attention. The Amazon page
“Dr. Les Fehmi, a clinical psychologist and researcher, many of us have become stuck in “narrow-focus attention”: a tense, constricted, survival mode of attention that holds us in a state of chronic stress—and which lies at the root of common ailments including anxiety, depression, ADD, stress-related migraines, and more. To improve these conditions, Dr. Fehmi explains that we must learn to return to a relaxed, diffuse, and creative form of attention, which he calls “Open Focus.”
On the review page at OpEdNews, we can read:
Some people will approach this book as a self-help book for healing disorders caused by stress, anxiety, etc.
Some will, like the pro teams and players who have hired Dr. Fehmi, approach this book as an aid to help improve performance, to reach peak performance and optimal functioning.
Some will seek out this book to help their personal relationships.
Some will approach it as a map for achieving higher consciousness and or spiritual deepening.
All will find answers that will make a difference in their lives and work.
Needless to say, I m extremely interested in that book. While I have good concentration I believe that sometimes as the author said I can be stuck in narrow focus ….this cause me sometimes to not see my bad spelling or grammar as a result.
I’m sure that I can also use the method from the book to improve my meditation practice, I will order it, I will write a review when I finish the book.
