High doses of Marijuana might grow brain cells ?
By
When I was a teenager one of my classmate smoked a pot then he was stoned for some reason, he wanted to have some more fun, he took a small screwdriver and hit me in the neck, hopefully, I have control so I didn’t budge I was transported immediately at the nearest hospital which was less than 10 minutes away from my school.
They took care of me my best friend of that time was allowed to come with me and talk to me during the surgery , he was very impressed by the fact that I didn’t panic , showed no fear and had total self-control it contrasted with the behavior of the pot smoker.
Since then I’m very suspicious when I’m around pot smokers I don’t use drugs and craps and I have strong self control and discipline , it makes the marijuana users I know a bit suspicious about me, I remember a group of people I know made a party to cook Cannabis brownies or Space cake, I m not sure what it is ….but they avoided me so I won’t sermon them and make them wrong for being what they are ‘people with no self-mastery’.
Ok, you can argue by saying pot is a pleasure, it is like listening to a song, of course, it is but so what ?
Self-Mastery is about not being addicted to emotions.
In Spain the pot smokers I know there call me chico sano (healthy guy) and I think it is better to be called Chico Sano than Cochi Loco (crazy pig).
Now , well, some new development about marijuana it appears that a study on rats made them have new cells to grow in their brain.
They found that giving rats high doses of a synthetic cannabinoid called HU210 (it is like marijuana) twice a day for 10 days increased the rate of nerve cell formation, or neurogenesis, in the hippocampus by about 40%.
When the rats who had received the cannabinoid were placed under stress, they showed fewer signs of anxiety and depression than rats who had not had the treatment. When neurogenesis was halted in these rats using X-rays, this effect disappeared, indicating that the new cell growth might be responsible for the behavioural changes.
In another study, Barry Jacobs, a neuroscientist at Princeton University, gave mice the natural cannabinoid found in marijuana, THC (D9-tetrahydrocannabinol)). But he says he detected no neurogenesis, no matter what dose he gave or the length of time he gave it for. He will present his results at the Society for Neuroscience meeting in Washington DC in November.
Jacobs says it could be that HU210 and THC do not have the same effect on cell growth. It could also be the case that cannabinoids behave differently in different rodent species - which leaves open the question of how they behave in humans.
The conclusion: it is too early to assume that it could work in humans, but trust me you can stay skeptical. I know people who smoke pot since an early age and they do everyday, in fact, they aren’t any special than other people, they have an addiction to their emotions and they use their pot to calm down some of the strong emotions they have such as repressed rage.
You do not have repressed rage ? Try to stay the next twelve’s months without smoking a pot.
I had repressed rage I worked that out with the love meditation. Bravo, if you don’t have any.
Of course, pot open the chakras especially the heart chakra, alcohol also open the heart chakra however Masters don’t use these shortcuts, I shit you not, you will never find a Master of the caliber of Dr. George King or Robert Allen Monroe. Monroe himself encouraged people to stop being addicted to emotions this is what slow down Human evolution.
