Rambling on about sexual energy

Today, I read a bit about sexual energy, the energy that can give “birth”, it is a vast topic with a lot of misunderstanding attached to it; add to that love and sex are treated in an unbalanced way in the Western countries , for most of us, western men and women have very stereotypical and inappropriate ideas and beliefs about sex and love.
In western countries it is believed by a lot of men that a man has to be dominant, aggressive , assertive, logical and analytical, there is a tendency to separate a set of values and rank them as male or female, in this context ; men who display great mothering skill are regarded with suspicion.

There is the accepted idea that a man has to satisfy is sexual urges and need of several sexual conquest to achieve that .One he can go from one night stand to another one or form very short relationship and move on to the next partner, two , he can be in a relationship and cheat on his partner or three be loyal and repress the so called instinct for several different sexual mates.

In all honesty, I believe it is all rubbish : I tend to think that inappropriate ideas about love and sex is causing all the drama we have when it comes to sexuality and love for example a lot of men believe that the only expression of love is through sexual intercourse such men will obviously have conflicting feelings when they think about the love they have for the children if they have one.

Sexuality is a topic charged with guilt, shame and immature limiting beliefs, so how one person will use maturely the information about sexual energy.

If a man equates sex with strictly ‘ejaculation’ this is already a false start, now ok, the people who seek to learn about sexual energy they seem to be ready and open to accept this information.

Sometimes, it’s true, people do not experience high charge as
pleasurable; they experience it as discomfort. Those for whom high
charge is uncomfortable usually experience sex less in terms of
pleasure than as a way to relieve inner pressure. They don’t want
to spend much time – or any time – increasing their pressure, which
is they way they would experience any heightening of their energy
level. They want to discharge (or repress) what has already
accumulated. They’re often interested in having intercourse
frequently – briefly, but frequently – to keep the systemic energy
level relatively low. (You’ll hear this referred to frequently
as “Wham, bam, thank you, ma’am”.) Given our cultural attitudes and
upbringing around sexuality, it may be that this kind of experience
is the usual. The idea of allowing charge to build up over a fairly
long time, or deliberately building charge without immediately
discharging it, may seem a strange idea to many people. The fact of
the matter is, it’s uncomfortable for some because they are at the
limit of the energy they can systemically contain. Of course, it’s
relative: what’s high for me may be low for you. But we can each
stretch and expand the amount of energy we can hold while remaining
relaxed; we can create a kind of energetic tonus that allows more
and more intense experience of surrender, pleasure, and satisfaction.

Cultivating and expanding sexual energy is the topic of a book by Mantak Chia, I might study that book. There is a yoga text that says :

If at the moment of orgasm , one could become introverted and see the sensation as energy, one would experience the divine pulsation.
