How to start a good meditation practice using brainwave audio technology
By
A few months ago I posted on a message board a strange but very interesting experience I had during a meditation, people new to meditation (less than two years of practice) asked me how they can have such kind of experience, rigpa to use their word (Rigpa is the primordial, nondual awareness).
There are certain elements that account to achieve mastery, this include having brain hemispheres synchronized, being in a deep state of trance (theta or delta) and being able to retain awareness. The combination of the two elements mentioned will allow a meditator some interesting experience I cant tell you what experience you will get this is different for each individual , I know someone who started the same program I did and he went in a completely different direction our notes are have nothing in common.
I personally started meditating with Steve Halpern – Spectrum Suite (it is not binaural beat just normal music that relax and supposedly stimulate the chakras) and I did great with it because I got the same effect that I get from Immrama Insight CD however it was a slower process.
Good goals for a beginner during the first year should include:
The ability to relax the body (tension-free) and quiet the mind
Reduce the mental chatters
Have clear visualisation
Improved concentration
Audio-Technology
The people who started to meditate the old ways, with no use of audio technology are usually reluctant to idea to start with it, they often claim that they don’t want to be dependent of technology to achieve results. Well, this is not true I have know people who meditate successfully with audio technology and now they can achieve the same results without audio and they saved many years of struggle. I know of a guy who wanted to learn to OOBE and failed during many years, he eventually succeed when he bought the Gateway Experience meditation kit and followed the guided meditation for about 8 months.
I heard of another person who completed the same program and he was able to communicate with his guide. Now, ok, someone who has never meditate can’t imagine these things beo,g possible such as having out of body experience and talking to guide.
Even feeling the chakras and subtle energy is difficult or impossible when you have never meditate, I remember that when I got started I only knew the chakras from a theoretical standpoint I had no direct experience of them even after months of chakra breathing I couldn’t feel the chakras as something real it is when I started concrete CHI/Energy work that I started to feel the chakras as something real.
The use of audio technology (Binaural beat, isochronic tones, meditational/chakra music, shamanic drums) will save a beginner years of practice and as far as I know there is no risk to develop a dependence quite the opposite in fact. You will break some of your dependences.
Certain audio program have been designed for beginners this is the case for Holosync Awakening Prologue , Mind-tek Ultra Meditation , Dane Spott’s Brain Supercharger CD.
They all use binaural beat technology to achieve brain hemispheres synchronization. Someone with no prior experience with meditation or even brain audio technology can start with these programs.
A person with some level of experience with meditation and brain audio technology can start with any of the BrainSync, Immrama or Hemi-Sync CDs. I like the Immrama Insight CD because it is a no fluff, no whistles, no bells , it is pure brainwave during 3 times 24 minutes with the rainfall as sole background , a lot of people who begin much prefer to have some kind of music and a progressive approach that gently take them from waking state (Beta) to a deeper states this is what accomplish Holosync, Supercharger and Mind-Tek, Immrama and Brainsync also do that but it s more DIY approach with no instruction provided to follow.
Having the above is an excellent base for the one seeking para-normal experience or self-discovery.
Therefore a concentration and a relaxation exercise come in complement to the meditation.
For relxation have at look:
Autogenic training (my preferred method)
Progressive muscle relaxation
Concentration exercises:
You can find countless of exercise on the Internet , choose one that develop visualisation in same time.
The meditation should not be long in the beginning and it is best two short meditations one of 15 minutes with any kind of audio CD and the second with a brainwave audio CD don’t exceed more than 30 minutes with that one. For beginners starting the meditation always at the same hour help the mind to get good habit for it.
What to meditate on ?
With audio CDs like Mindtek UltraMeditation you can just focus on your breath or some pleasant scenario.
Some people meditate on an object a stone for instance, this is also good as it helps to develop excellent concentration skill, which will have direct positive effect in all area of your life. I’m glad that I started to meditate when I was a student because it helped me greatly I improved my memory this way.
When someone develop good base then he is ready for more specialized and ambitious program. Starting with mantras or the chakras isn’t that good for a beginner because chance is that you cant feel the reality of those things, it took me years to see the effect of the OM mantra back then when I worked with it; it made no sense, it was pointless to work with it, however, I’m not saying it is impossible some people are inclined to develop that type of skill rather rapidly.

I totally agree with you, I had quit meditation bacause the effort and the time required, compared to the little or no results at all, got me frustrated.
I have to thank you because your articles gave me that boost to retry meditation practice, this time being supported by brainwave synchronization.
So I’ve bought the Ultra Meditation pack and the Gateway Experience one month ago and, so far, I fell more centered and focused, had two lucid dreams and have the feeling I’m finally getting somewhere.
Thanks and best regards

Hello Everyone;
I just came upon this site and felt the need to post.
I’ve been using BrainSync Deep Meditation at night, and Create Success during the day (both for a little over a week). I can tell you that I have never been able to achieve results this fast in all the years I’ve practiced meditation. If anyone is interested in the details, let me know and I will gladly share.
I’ve noticed that there is ‘freeware’ regarding BrainSync. I do not recommend using them. It’s best to purchase the actual CD and share it with someone. I sense that the process can corrupt the delicate balance within the beats preventing one from getting positive results.
