5 star EFT Course Disc 1 review
ByVideo 1A: begins with Gary Craig founder of EFT
Gary also gives refinement such as that the necessity to use various approaches when the problem isn’t solved and he said that the DVDs have a lot of examples of approaches.
In the later portion of that video we have Gary Craig and Adrienne Fowlie teaching us how to perform EFT, where are the EFT tapping points and how to tap properly on them, which hands to use, the set-up phrase, the reminder phrase, the 9 gamut procedure.

The tapping process is explained with clarity and great details with all the refinement it is far better than in the manual which leave too much room to personal interpretation, there is no ambiguity in the video.
Video 1b of Part 1 – Dave and his fear of water
Dave is a 50 years old guy who had a very intense water phobia all of his life so this video offer the opportunity to see as a study case an entire EFT session.
The session is done outdoor near a swim pool, the session is conducted by Gary Craig .
There is explanation of the SUDs (Subjective Units of Disturbance) (On a scale from 0 to 10 how intense is the fear/pain or the disturbing emotions that will be the SUDs reading)
Dave explains that if he goes in the water at his waist level the fear will be a SUDs of 8 and 10 at his neck – chest level.
Dave continues describing some of the painful memories, he had as a teenager by the time him and Gary Craig starts the EFT process , Dave’s SUDs is at 4.

They uses as a set-up phrase :
Even thought I have this fear of water, I deeply and completely accept myself. They do it rubbing the sore spot then they move on tapping on the other points with the reminder phrase ‘fear of water’. At that point, I was surprised at how fast they go through the process I imagined something slower.
After the EFT round, Dave tells his teenage story again SUDs is 2. They go for a new round with the following set-up phrase :
Even thought I still have some of this fear of water left, I deeply and completely accept myself. They use as a reminder phrase : ‘remaining fear of water’.
After that Gary asks Dave to try to level his intensity up and even exaggerate it, Dave tried but he said he cant feel it But Gary can observe based on the breathing of Dave that he has still some left even if he cant locate it or think about it.
They do one more round with the previous set-up phrase and reminder phrase.
When they finish that round SUDs is 0.
In the next segment , they take off their clothes and go in the pool Dave was able to have the water at his chest level but he couldn’t put his head under the water which is the ultimate test for him.
They do a round with the phrase : Even thought I still have some of this fear left, I deeply and completely accept myself.
After that round Dave couldn’t do the ultimate test put his head underwater. So they go specific with ‘Even thought I still have this fear of dunking my head underwater, I deeply and completely accept myself’.
After that more specific round Dave cant still put his head underwater. They continues with a even more specific set-up phrase ‘Even thought I have a fear of water above my chin, I deeply and completely accept myself’.
After that round, Dave was able to go in the water at his chin level but not beyond that.
They do a round with the set-up phrase : Even thought I have this fear of needing air, I deeply and completely accept myself’.
After that, slowly and by little step Dave finally put his head underwater , he even did it several times with a big smile on his face. They did some more test with Gary putting his hand on top of Dave head and holding him his arm with the other hand, Dave went underwater with that and no fear at all. At the end, we can see that Dave is very happy , really start to enjoy water.
I learned so much from this video especially that persistence is critically important, I liked this execution of EFT because it was done by the book much more precise and detailed than any of the stuffs you can find on YouTube.
The video end by a 18 days post-mortem where Dave explains over the phone that his fear of water hasn’t returned.
