The pegging system is a technique you can use to memorize information, it is a mnemonic technique described as follows on BuildYourMemory:
Basically what pegging does is to turn a number (any number), into a set of phonetic sounds or letters. These sounds are then joined together to form words, and these words may then be linked together to form a series of images. Finally these images may then be committed to memory. This enables an individual to recall numbers of up to (and above) 100 digits, with relative ease.
By combining the peg system with the system of linking , you will find that you will be able to memorise huge lists of information, in an ordered and structured way.
The flash-Card system, if for example you want to memorize a list of words in a foreign language take a pile of cards, on one side write the word in your language and in the language you want to learn on the other. If you got a word correct remove the card from the pile do it until the pile is empty.
Mental gym, doing mental 2-digit multiplication helps to develop a better memory. Do it for a couple of weeks every days, each day make 3 mental multiplications with 2 digits each like 46×87 make them as hard as you can.
Self-hypnosis , there is a CD from Wendi called Memory Magic , it s a 2 tracks CD with command to reinforce your ability to memorize, obviously, if you know how to hypnotize yourself you can design your own script .
