Clarity of Mind
ByI mentioned that I do another concentration exercise from the book Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel , below is the exercise :
take the same room, the same chair, and the same position, if possible. In some cases it is not convenient to take the same room, in this case simply make the best use of such conditions as may be available. Now be perfectly still as before, but inhibit all thought; this will give you control over all thoughts of care, worry and fear, and will enable you to entertain only the kind of thoughts you desire. Continue this exercise until you gain complete mastery.
Sound like super difficult ? Do not be discouraged, I m doing it after 2 or 3 weeks, it will get easier, if you cannot stop the flow of thoughts concentrate on your breathing pattern or the space between each breath.
No matter what’s your concentration exercise of choice, there is a point where you will feel a pressure, thoughts will attempt to invade your mind like a cohort of thousands of horses. Resist and you will be rewarded in your effort. In order to improve mental clarity I have diminished the amount of television in fact, I watch one DVD movie per week and that’s it. At the moment, I have slowed down on this discipline, I allow myself to follow some parts of the football matches of the FIFA football World Cup, 30 – 40 minutes, I really want to stay away of TV, I have far better clarity without TV.
I have also put on stop the listening of Radio and so-called modern music (rap, r’n’b, rock, pop and others) Most of the time, I enjoy the silence, I occasionally listen to some movie scores or the music of Anugama, Deuter and other artist like Liquid Mind .
Clarity and concentration is a must when it comes to states of consciousness exploration .
The Alternate Nostril Breathing Technique from dhyansanjivani.
1. Close the right nostril with your right thumb and inhale through the left nostril. Do this to the count of four seconds.
2. Immediately close the left nostril with your right ring finger and little finger, and at the same time remove your thumb from the right nostril, and exhale through this nostril. Do this to the count of eight seconds. This completes a half round.
3. Inhale through the right nostril to the count of four seconds. Close the right nostril with your right thumb and exhale through the left nostril to the count of eight seconds. This completes one full round.
