One effective concentration exercise

So first what is concentration ? Concentration is the ability to focus on one idea at the exclusion of others.
In the context of Gateway Experience concentration is very important because it helps to deal with the inner dialogue commenting on the experience which is the main obstacle for me at this moment. Below is the one of the exercise I want to share with you.
Take an analog clock put at about 1 meter and half distant of you.
Wait that the seconds moving hand arrive at 12.
Focus or concentrate all your thoughts on the movement of the hand, if one thought interfere with your concentration, stop exercise and wait that the hand is at 12 again, check out the time you are able to focus, it is nice if you concentrate more than 3 seconds.
Do the exercise everyday little by little you will improve , this exercise is superior than focusing on a fixated object because the movement of the hand is in fact helping you to concentrate by taking your attention.
Once you can manage to do the exercise for 30 seconds manage it to do it eyes closed. If when you open your eyes the hand is ahead or too short on time then , considered it a bad try and start again.
If this is too difficult do 10 minutes of nostril breathing before the exercise it will help to calm down your internal dialogue.
If you are distracted again by the internal dialogue mentally count the second as you follow the hand, if you are distracted by mental images, mentally visualize the movement of the moving hand, you should arrive to the point that your mind is totally concentrated on the moving hand.
