Session 18: Introduction to Focus 10
By
Session 18 of introduction to Focus 10 was very interesting, I did the session during the afternoon at 3 :30 PM. I had no problem to go to trance and have hypnagogic imagery. I guess that my long experience with physical relaxation techniques helped me greatly. . I achieved a state of focus 10 I wasn’t focused on my body but on those images I quietly observed them , they have this dreamlike quality to them, I was observing a river and trees around it when I changed the angle of what I was observing I put my awareness in direction of the sun in that scene to my surprise I had a reaction on my retina pretty much like I was looking at a real sun. Now, I believe that the body has the ability to react to imagination pretty much in the same way it react to reality. The example of stage hypnosis is eloquent when the hypnotist make a volunteer believes S/he has fire on the hand, the volunteer physiologically react.
The main difficulty in that session was the inner voice , the internal dialogue, during the session I was about to reach a deeper level of this state of consciousness, when I was taken by surprise by an appearance, I can’t say if it was an image, a scene or something. It sure has more dimensions. When I m taken by surprise like this my inner voice starts commenting on what is going on. I have taken concrete steps to further reduce my internal dialogue with concentration exercise.
Tonight will be my last session with that CD (Wave I – CD 1) tomorrow I will start the second CD with the Advanced Focus 10 exercises.
