Introduction to Focus 10 (day 3)
By
Last night I had a lot of sleepiness and fatigue I went to sleep at 3:00 a.m instead of 4 a.m.
I slept 9 hours I woke up normally feeling fine, so it won’t be a polyphasic sleep day like the previous 5 days or so.
Let see how it will be in the coming days.
Today, I did session 4 with Introduction to Focus 10 (CD 1 –The Gateway Experience – Wave 1 – Discovery), I was able to easily physically relax, in the past, I learnt autogenics training a method of physical relaxation I use this method for now 8 years. I believe that the mastery of autogenics training helps me to quickly relax contrary to many beginners I had no urge to itch, I had no pains If you are one of those with difficulty to relax I suggest that you do your best to minimize anything that can prevent relaxation. In my case, I put a pillow underneath my foot and I wore loose clothes and I did my session at a quiet moment of the day.
If you know about autogenics training, you can do a session before you start, you can also try things like progressive relaxation and stretching, If I’m very tense, I will do both techniques and I will also lie down and slowly count backwards from 100 to 1, these methods will surely relax you.
During session 4, I was able to sporadically reach Focus 10 (Mind awake/ Body asleep) , I did it too last night during session 3, but the realization that I was in that state caused me to instantly lose it. It is very necessary to let it go, the less effort you make the better it will be, it was the case for me. The biggest blocker is the internal dialogue, I was able to reduce it to an acceptable degree , my experience with concentration exercises helped me here, I found that the internal dialogue prevented my body to fall asleep, it was like saying to the body ‘stay awake , we have to talk’.
I have the need to improve on that I will bring back some concentration exercises in my daily routine.
