Review: Yoga Zone Premiere collection – 4 pack

It is a set of 4 DVDs of approximately 55 minutes each. All the exercises are intended for beginners or people with less than 2 years of experience. You will just need 2 equipment pieces to perform the exercises a yoga mat and a yoga strap.
On each DVD you have a menu that present the exercises, you can choose to make the various series all in a row or you can make a selection.

Each dvd starts with an introduction by Yoga instructor Alan Finger, when you have watched it once, you can skip that and start directly with the exercises.

DVD – Introduction to Yoga
Content/chapters: 1.intro, 2.Let’s Begin 3.Cat’s pose, 4. Mountain pose, 5. Stork pose, 6. Lying leg extension.

If you are new to yoga or know little about it, you should start with this disc. The instructions given by Alan Finger are clear and he always says the health benefits of the exercise, he does this for all the DVDs. The exercises on this disc are relatively easy and you will feel better when you end the session that last about 53 minutes. Each session end by a relaxation exercise. This disc also contain an important exercise called Sun Salutation. In the future, you can use Sun Salutation to start your personalized session, the Sun Salutation is good to start a yoga session because it does the warm up and promote flexibility in the limbs.

DVD – Flexibility and Tone
Content/chapters: 1.intro, 2.Flexibility and Tone, 3.Down dog, 4.Mountain pose, 5.Fan pose, 6. Corpse pose

This is the disc to use, if you want to use Yoga to get in good shape. This DVD is an excellent work out routine. In each DVD, two teachers will show you, the posture one will execute posture as a beginner will do and the other teacher will execute in his advanced form.

DVD – Conditioning and stress release

Content/chapters: 1.intro, 2.Mind, breath and body, 3.Danda series, 4.Mountain pose, 5.strong conditioning 6.Final relaxation

In this disc, you will be instructed how to properly breath and relax. The conditioning exercises promote the elasticity of the spine and help to have a right posture, strengthen the back, the arms and legs.

DVD – Meditation – 2 complete sessions
Content/chapters: 1.intro, 2.Alternate nostrils breathing, 3.Radiance, 4.Chakra meditation, 5.Single Lotus, 6.Divine state.

This disc has 2 sessions of 30 minutes each. The purpose here is to learn to quiet the mind to experience a state of inner peace from the breathing exercises and the various postures, you will be able to learn to really relax and quiet the mind, on each DVD the background music is adapted but not too present. Alan Finger voice is still significantly at a higher volume.
This DVD set is a very good one for any beginners, all the postures are showed in the more simple form.
