Brainwaves entrainment and Binaural Beats
Posted by: | CommentsDeep meditation, extra-sensory perception (out of body, remote viewing) and certain states of creativity, have been characterized by something called brain synchronization, it occurs when the two hemispheres of the brain resonate to a similar electrical signal.
Obtaining brain synchronization can occurs, when you listen to shamanic drumming, spacey or psychedelic sounds, even in silence and meditation you can obtain the effect. However, those way may requires a certain time of learning, nowadays, technology make it possible to use brainwave entrainment CD that make the process a lot of faster and easier.
Binaural Beats
One of the most popular techniques used today to obtain synchronized brain hemispheres is the use of binaural beats. A binaural beat is a perceived sensation caused when 2 tones of nearly similar frequencies (less than 1500 Hz) are presented to each ear, the difference between the 2 will be an electrical signal. This electrical signal set up a frequency following response (FFR) that cause the brain hemispheres to resonate at a chosen frequency.
Example : When we sleep the brain produce brainwaves ranging from 0.5 and 3 Hz (hertz = cycle per second), if you want to put someone asleep using binaural beats technology, you can with headphone you have to present to one ear a tone of 220 Hz and present a tone of 223 Hz to the other ear, the whole brain will generate a signal of 3 Hz, conducive to deep sleep.
An important element in the use of binaural beats technology, it’s the use of right carrier frequencies (the frequencies that carry the information in the case of the above example 220 Hz and 223 Hz), some searchers experiment with low and high carrier frequencies. Below is an example of carrier frequencies used on one of the popular binaural beat CD on the market.
144.6Hz carrier centre frequency, 10Hz beat, 3 minutes
144.3Hz carrier centre frequency, 9Hz beat, 3 minutes
143.9Hz carrier centre frequency, 8Hz beat, 3 minutes
143.4Hz carrier centre frequency, 7Hz beat, 3 minutes
142.9Hz carrier centre frequency, 6Hz beat, 3 minutes
142.4Hz carrier centre frequency, 5Hz beat, 3 minutes
141.7Hz carrier centre frequency, 3.5Hz beat, 6 minutes
141.3Hz carrier centre frequency, 2.6Hz beat, 6 minutes
“carrier centre frequency”, here mean the frequency half-way
between the two carriers, so a 144.6Hz centre frequency plus a 10Hz beat means 139.6Hz and 149.6Hz on the two channels.
Resistance
Some subjects will resist the use of such technology, its due to a homeostasis (resistance to change), the use affirmations, breathing techniques, autogenic training, mantra chanting will usually ease the process of integration.
Benefits
Synchronized brain hemispheres have been proved useful in a large number of applications such as concentration, creativity, meditation, relaxation, stress reduction, pain management, sleep improvement and psychiatric applications.
What is self-hypnosis ?
Posted by: | CommentsSelf-hypnosis is hypnosis induced by yourself, hypnosis is a concentrated focus, a state of increased concentration. The benefit of hypnosis and self-hypnosis is that it bypass the ego or our censor, therefore we can use self-hypnosis for self-change, exploration of latent abilities.
We are already master at hypnosis, we hypnotize ourselves on our beliefs. A belief is like a hypnotic focus, we recognize our beliefs as being true and eliminate anything that can contradict our view about them. In the hypnosis state you have the opportunity to directly communicate with your subconscious to implement new ideas about reality and the subconscious will act upon them and you will see those change manifest into your daily life.
You can use hypnosis and self-hypnosis for a very large variety of applications among the most popular are stopping to smoke, weight loss, gaining self-confidence, improving memory, reduce stress, overcoming pain, healing faster, age regression and much more, the list just never end.
There are many methods to enter the state of hypnosis or hypnotic trance. Those techniques are referred as hypnotic induction. Many effectives inductions start with a physical relaxation part but it is not always required or necessary. In fact, when you become experienced with self-hypnosis, you will just have to remind you, what was like the last time you were in hypnosis and you will be in trance.
Once you are in hypnotic trance, you can test and prove to yourself that you are in the state by giving you the suggestion that you will not be able to open your eyes and then try to open your eyes, if you are in hypnotic trance the test will work, thereafter give yourself the suggestion that you can open your eyes. There is another test that you can do, it is to imagine one of your harm filled with energy and give the suggestion that your harm , raise.

What if after a long day of stress at work, you could take a 20 minutes vacation to rest and energize yourself. This is possible with this self-hypnosis CD develop by Wendi Friesen, the CD contains 5 tracks, Track 1 – Deep trance training give you instruction to relax you and release tension in your body, the track seems to be a simplified method of autogenic training (autogenic training is a relaxation method very effective but take months to master) . Track 2 is the stress release session, track 3 introduce you to the concept of self-hypnosis, it is purely informational.
Track 4 is an interesting track if you are interested to learn more about self-hypnosis, the first part of the track contain a self-hypnosis induction , then when you are in deep state of hypnotic trance , you can use this space to give you positive suggestions about things that you want to change or improve.
Track 5 called 5 Minutes Relax to the Max is interesting, you can convert this track to a mp3, upload it on your mp3 player and when at work, when you are under heavy pressure, you can escape for 5 minutes somewhere and go listen to the track. Fall Asleep, Stay Asleep

The delta sleep system developed by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson is a set of 2 CDs, each CD has 2 tracks of approximately 30 minutes. The idea behind these CD is to induce a brainwave pattern that will gently lead you to a deep state of sleep.
When we are awake our brain mostly produce Beta brainwave in a range of 13hz to 40 Hz. But, when we close our eyes we produce slower brainwaves , referred as alpha waves (8 to 13 Hz). A deep state of sleep coincide with very slow delta brainwaves (0.5 to 3 Hz). This state is also known to be the most stress-reduced body state.
I have the Delta Sleep System and it is effective to induce the sleep state, headphone is not required but you will need good stereo separation, if you use headphone make sure, you choose a comfortable high quality pair, I use a Sennheiser’s HD 590 , it is always best before you go to sleep to perform some muscles stretching exercises they will relax the body and make it easier to fall in a deep sleep, if you know about breathing you can do that, breathing is good.
A simple belly breathing will do fine, Inhale slowly through your nose, feeling your stomach expand. Hold this breath for a few seconds. Then exhale as slowly as possible through pursed lips.
That way you are sure to get the best of the Delta Sleep System.
